Silent Lenten Retreat

Vendredi, Mars 2, 2018 - Dimanche, Mars 4, 2018

Theme:  The Name of God is Mercy

Where is God in our rather dark and scary world? How should we respond to the fearful and threatening pressures we face? How can religion heal the world, or is religion the problem? These questions have been in the hearts of many. Many people feel estranged or distant from God, especially when God is so often invoked or portrayed in violent or judgmental ways. When we return to the treasures of our tradition with searching and open hearts, a comforting but challenging picture emerges. The golden thread uniting both the Old and New Testaments consist of the passages that proclaim mercy as God’s essential nature. During this retreat we will pray with these passages for enlightenment, hope, and transformation on our spiritual journey.
